1 – Penetrating Grout Sealer

It is also known as impregnator sealer and it an excellent choice for most of the general usages. It’s one of the highly suggested products for most of the tiling projects. Penetrating grout sealer is good at avoiding the growth of mildew as well as stains. It’s highly effective when you aim to preserve and maintain the tile and the color of grout. In the beginning, it might be costlier and more intensive when you apply it. It penetrates through top porous layer of the material it is applied on which enables it to make a strong bond and it makes a blockade which is impassable. In general, it lasts for a longer time i.e. as long as 10 to 15 years in most of the cases. It may not require special care as well but you just follow the routine inspection and maintenance. When you have to change, you just remove the existing layer of this grout sealer and begin applying the new layer.

2 – Silicone & Water Grout Sealers

They are very popular ones for sealing the surface. They make a barrier which rests on the top of grout lines. They’re inexpensive in cost and the people who has used it say that they find it much simpler to apply these grout sealers. These sealers do not leave residue and in case you have mistakenly applied them on the tile and you can easily wipe it out. They normally last from 3 to 5 years. 

3 – Acrylic Grout Sealer

It’s synthetic fiber and considered to be one of the most durable surface sealer. It lasts between 6 and 10 years, so it is a preferable one for most of the people. It is so strong that you will find it tough to remove when you want to reapply the sealer after it has passed its due time. Beware because it is could be toxic to humans and animals.
