The Processing Steps of Hair Wigs in a Factory

Today, we will see how the process is performed for the commercial preparation of the hair wigs from the selection of the raw material to the final product and quality control in the manufacturing process.

Selection and Storage

The hair comes to the factory in large sacks, known as raw material. Then it is separated by qualities as it is to be used for remy and for non-remy hair wigs. For example, imagine hair of a woman who two years ago dyed it blonde and it is still 100% human hair, but is it still virgin hair? Of course, not. Because it is not in its original state and it is not worth it. If the hair is gray, it does not serve the purpose. If the hair is very dry or not a healthy hair, it does not really serve the purpose either because the hair used for remy hair wigs has to be of the best quality. Once the hair has been selected for quality, it is now time to select the hair by measures and keep into boxes for further use because the length of your hair wigs matters a lot.

Hair Washing, Disinfection and Discoloration

Now all the hair is washed, disinfected and conditioned in large batches. All hair is black in origin and has to be dyed. To achieve clearer color of light brown, it is necessary to decolorize the hair first to obtain that a uniform color can be obtained when dying the hair.

Hair Discoloration

During the whole process, care is taken to keep the hair in the same direction, so that no tangles occur; when the cuticles are in different positions, the hair is tangled. Although at first glance, it looks like a great tangle of hair, the hair is not loose, but has an order.

Hairstyle

After having been washed, discolored, dyed and conditioned, the hair looks matted, and it is necessary to comb it and group it in queues that can be sewn. For this purpose, they use giant combs by which the workers pass the hair until it remains without tangles and dry. When the hair is ready to be sewn, it is passed to the next area.

Industrial Sewing Machines

The hair is slowly placed in a sewing machine. It is a manual work, so you can find variations in the thickness of the curtain, some are thicker but less wide, and some are wider but with less amount of hair per centimeter. In the sewn extensions you will see short hair up close to the sewing, and it is the hair itself that has been folded over itself when sewing the curtain.

Straightening

The hair is then smoothed on industrial machines.

Packaging

Finally, the hair is ready to be packaged.

Quality Control

The prepared hair wigs go for the final packaging and control department to ensure the quality before forwarding to the wholesalers or retailers.
