Preparing Shopping List

It is usually a routine to read the recommendations about how to perform the daily shopping in order to reduce the spending and save some money or at least no money is wasted.

One recommendation is usually to prepare a shopping list with foods to acquire and also as a condition, always try to make the purchase with a full stomach.

Regarding the first option, I wanted to let a personal recommendation when preparing your shopping list and I think, at least from what I usually see every day, to a greater or lesser extent people often make many serious mistakes in making the shopping the list.

Generally shopping list is based on the number of gaps in our closets, pantries and refrigerators which we are used to seeing occupied by food and certain items every day and it influences the list to a great extent. Let’s see how people usually make the shopping list.

They open the fridge and the shopping list start!

They look at the shelf occupying desserts and started writing like 4 yogurts, 4 puddings, 2custards, 4 cups of chocolate, 3 rice pudding, etc.

Then comes the shelf of sausages and they continue with the list witting the quantities such as sausage, salami, cheese, etc.

Have a look at the shelf of vegetables and continue with the list as artichokes, spinach, lettuce, cabbage, green beans, green peppers, red peppers, celery, leeks, onion, turnip, eggplant and so on.

Now they look at the shelf of meats and the writing in the list goes on as chops, steaks, beef, chicken, beef stew, ground beef, sausage, etc.

The turn of sauces come and writing continues with the list as BBQ sauce, pink sauce, soy sauce, mayonnaise, American sauce, yogurt sauces, ketchup, etc.

The same sequence continues with drinks, seafood, etc.

They open the pantry and again shopping list begins!

Pastries for Breakfast

Cookies, cakes, cupcakes, chocolate buns, loaf of bread, etc.

Fruits

The list goes on as apples, pears, grapes, mango, strawberries, bananas, melons, watermelon, peaches, oranges, tangerines, etc.

Other items like detergent, fabric softener, cleaning, dishwasher, spices, milk, etc. and they follow this rule of empty space and fill it on their shopping list. As a result of such a way to make a list of grocery and other items can make you buy many unnecessary things while it is very momentous as well. In fact, your shopping list is supposed to be based on the necessities instead of filling the gaps.
