Steps To Make The Best Pizza On Grill

Pizza is one of the simplest and most versatile meals you can make on the grill. Without counting the preparation time of the ingredients and the dough, you can be enjoying a delicious grilled pizza in less than 5 minutes. You can cut the preparation time if you use a commercial or bakery pizza dough and prepared tomato sauce. After years of making pizzas in the grill, I have a few tips for you that will be useful when making your pizza.

Use Your Favorite Ingredients

Whether with tomato and cheese alone, with ham, pepperoni, mushrooms, bacon, olives, BBQ chicken or buffalo chicken, vegetarian, with goat cheese or even dessert with nutella, let your imagination run wild when preparing your pizza, and remember that there are no rules to carry, so use your favorite ingredient combination and prepare your favorite pizza.

Grill Cleaning

The grill rack should be very clean to prevent the pizza from getting stuck.

Oil the Grill and Dough

You should oil the grill with olive oil or vegetable oil and the pizza dough on both sides. You can take help of a kitchen brush.

Working with Hands

Have a kitchen towel near the grill because you are going to get your hands dirty. I have realized that it is best when you oil the pizza dough with olive oil with a kitchen brush or with your clean hands and place it on the grill with your hands and not with tweezers. The tongs make the pizza stretch a lot and break, but when you put it with your hands, you have more control that it will not break.

Organization

Have ready all the ingredients that you are going to use since the base of pizza is ready in 1 to 2 minutes.

Show Speed

You must be quick if you want to put the ingredients to the pizza on the grill. You can also have a kitchen table that supports high temperatures, so you can place the hot pizza on the table and add the ingredients to your pizza calmly and without being on the grill and the heat of the coal.

Grill with Lid

I recommend using a grill that can be covered as it melts the cheese easily.

Grated Cheese or Small Pieces

The cheese should preferably be grated or in very small pieces, so that it will melt evenly and faster since the heat of the grill is strong and can burn the pizza dough before the cheese has melted completely.

Small or Personal Size Pizzas

It is preferable to make personal pizzas since it is easier to maneuver the dough and pizza on hot grill. Do not try to make a large pizza because it breaks easily and is difficult to place and remove it from the grill.

Suitable Temperature

The heat must be high, but without flame if you use coal. Do not overhang the grill flame, so you will not burn the pizza. You should be able to leave the hand about 2 to 3 seconds over the heat without burning you; if you can do it, it is the right heat. If you use a gas grill, use the average temperature.

Be Aware!

The dough is left in an approximate of 1 to 2 and a half minutes in the rotisserie and it depends on the thickness and temperature. Do not start doing other things as the time the pizza is ready to burn is very short, so you must not divert your attention.
